In the second game of a back-to-back, the Albany Devils snapped their four-game losing streak by topping the Adirondack Phantoms 2-1. Here are some notes on that game as well as some New Jersey Devils prospect notes.

- Obviously it's still early in the season, but that was a huge win for the Devils. Having lost four consecutive games heading into action Saturday night, they were certainly in need of a win. Not only to get some confidence back, but to stay in the playoff race instead of falling out of it before the season even really got going. Though the Devils are last in the Eastern Conference, they are only four points out of the playoffs.

- Good on Jeff Frazee for coming in performing the way he did last night. The Devils needed a good effort from him if they wanted any chance of winning, and he came in there and, simply put, did his job. Frazee stopped 22-of-23 in the 2-1 win. Pretty nice start to build of Kinkaid's start the previous night where he stopped 37-of-38.

- Adam Henrique was held off the scoresheet last night. He did have three shots, though. Make it three goals and zero assists in 10 games this year.

- Mattias Tedenby sat out again last night with the flu. I expect he'll be ready to go when Albany returns to action Monday.

- Adam Larsson and Alex Urbom did not register a point and were both even in the win.

- Bobby Butler scored his first goal of the season in the win. He's a streaky player so hopefully for Albany this is the start of a nice run for him. With the way Albany is playing they could certainly use it.

- Jacob Josefson registered an assist in the win. After a very good start to the season that was his first point in five games.

- Scott Wedgewood left Friday night's game early after suffering an injury and will miss some time. I've been told he will miss at least the next week of action. Trenton Titans have recalled another goaltender on emergency basis.

- Reece Scarlett got back on track offensively with two assists in a 4-1 Swift Current win over the PA Raiders. Graham Black also had a nice night scoring a goal and picking up an assist in the win.

- Stefan Matteau, Ben Thomson and Reid Boucher are the lone Devils prospects in action across the CHL tonight.
