11:44 pm: Sound Tigers win with a a dominant second period after trailing in the first period. I was not there and not watching on line. I was at a Joss Stone concert reading updates on my phone. Rude. I know. Especially since I was right up front.

Michael Haley tripped David Ullstrum which put BST on the power play, but what everyone was wait for was Haley dropping the gloves. He did. He fought Blair Riley and it's said it was an even tilt.

The Whale was up 2 - 0 in the first with Poulin in net. On the other side of the ice, BST put 19 shots on net. Early in the second period, BST went on the power play after Nino Niederreiter was taken down by Collins.

That's when it started. Casey Cizikas cut the deficit in half on the power play and the Sound Tigers took off from there. With his first AHL goal, Nino Niederreiter evened the score at two. Cizikas scored his second goal of the night to give the BST the advantage then Brock Nelson made it 4 - 2.

The Swedish line of Ullstrom-Sundstrom-Persson needs a cool nickname. Back on the power play late in the second, Perrson takes a feed from Nelson and made it 5 - 2. You have to think the Whale were a little stunned. So stunned that they changed their goalie for the beginning of the third.

That didn't really help them as Defazio scored the Sound Tigers sixth goal. I suppose the officials were trying to even things up and put the Whale on a two man advantage when they sent Riley and Sundstrom off for high-sticking. After the Whale scored their third goal, Travis Hamonic was kicked off with a 10-minute misconduct. I see it's happening even in the AHL.
They scored again on a man advantage, but that's where it stayed.

The Sound Tigers get to play in front of their home crowd tomorrow. Let's hope for the same type of performance.

6 pm: The Bridgeport Sound Tigers will face off against the CT Whale tonight and the Islanders will be web streaming the game live for their fans from their website. Here is the information from their website:
