Today the NHLPA announced that John Tavares and Taylor Hall have been chosen as the two head coaches for the second annual Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Cup. The camp for 42 bantam age players will take place at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, ON, from July 17 to 21, 2012 with an exhibition game on Saturday, July 21 at 1:00 p.m. ET, which will air on TSN. Of course..

Led by 21-year NHL veteran Gary Roberts, the camp aims to provide young athletes with the exclusive opportunity to learn from the pros about the importance of on- and off-ice skills including fitness, nutrition, and mental conditioning.

He will be coaching against Taylor Hall who will also make his coaching debut. This sounds like a lot of fun. I'm hoping the NHLPA.com site or NHL Network will have something on it.

Not bad that JT91 gets this gig since he spent hours signing apology letters to all the STHs who attended the draft party that he didn't make it to. For their trouble, they get a special meeting with him and signed jerseys sometime in August.

Meanwhile, back in the Tri-state area, Matt Moulson will be playing a charity game tonight in CT at the Terry Conners Rink in Stamford along with Marty St. Louis, Max Pacioretty and Am Atkinson. Game starts at 7 pm and the tickets are only $25. Wow.

And Josh Bailey will be at the team store at 6:30 tonight to sign autographs for the first 150 patrons.

While Jay Jacobs comes up with a stupid plan for the Coliseum property that he expects Charles Wang to pay $302 million for, Ed Mangano is still trying to come up with another option that is viable to keepthe Islanders where they belong. Clock is ticking, but I'm still wearing blue, white & orange.

I have to. I wear what still fits me.
