The New Jersey Devils have signed future Hall Of Famer Martin Brodeur to a two-year contract extension worth 4.5 million dollars per season.

The Devils also reached an agreement with Johan Hedberg to return on a two-year deal. Brodeur/Hedberg will be the tandem for the next two years barring any changes that come out of the blue. I expect Scott Wedgewood or another Devils goaltending prospect to take the reigns from there.

New Jersey now awaits word from Zach Parise to see if their Captain will re-join the team for next year and beyond.

I'll have more on the Brodeur/Hedberg signing plus any other Devils news later on today or tomorrow.
