Here's the press release:
MINNESOTA WILD RE-SIGNS G JOSH HARDING TO THREE-YEAR CONTRACT
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed goaltender Josh Harding to a three-year contract.
Harding, 28 (6/18/84), went 13-12-4 with a 2.62 GAA (goals against average), a .917 SV% and two shutouts in 34 appearances (30 starts) in 2011-12, his first action after missing the 2010-11 season with a knee injury suffered Sept. 24, 2010, at St. Louis. The 6-foot-1, 199-pound native of Regina, Sask., has appeared in 117 games making 95 starts for Minnesota in parts of six NHL seasons, going 41-51-8 with a 2.65 GAA, a .916 SV% and six shutouts. All-time at home, Harding is 22-11-2 with a 2.12 GAA, a .926 SV% and three shutouts. He ranks fourth on the team’s all-time ledger in games played, wins and shutouts. Harding was selected by the Wild in the second round (No. 38 overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Does this mean that one of the prospects are on the move this weekend? I'm sure that the Wild's goaltending prospects are not overly excited right now reading the tea leaves. I would think that Fletcher may move a goalie this weekend at the draft. Stay tuned to find out which way this goes.
