The Avs will be without their captain for tonight's game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Milan Hejduk suffered a groin injury in last night's game in Columbus and is listed as day-to-day.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere will make his first start in goal since he left the Feb. 14 game in Vancouver.

T.J. Galiardi will be in the lineup, replacing Hejduk's spot in the lineup and Peter Mueller (torso) skated but will not play.

Hejduk has struggled on the year with only 13 goals and 20 assists. He has not scored since Feb. 10 and only has two goals in 2012. Over the course of the year, Hejduk looks like he has slowed down and is just trying to keep up with the pace of the game.

Hopefully Hejduk comes out of his groin injury as well as Erik Johnson and David Jones have.
