There is so much to write about after the afternoon I just spent talking to a top source, but let's start here..

It is very apparent that teams are going to be looking to make moves way ahead of the deadline this year and the teams who are sellers stand to do extremely well this year as the bubble teams look to make the playoffs...some of these teams with "do or die" pressure to make the playoffs.

Two of those teams..Toronto and Winnipeg look to be going for broke early with the theory being "every point matters, so why wait a month to get started"...one player who both teams are after, according to my source today, is Shane Doan. Doan has been popping up in rumors recently, and it is definitely known that it will be up to Shane if he is to accept a trade or not.
