Welcome to the TD Garden for tonight's game between the Boston Bruins and visiting Montreal Canadiens.

Montreal forward Mike Cammalleri held no punches back earlier when he essentially called the Canadiens a group of losers. Perhaps lost in the language of how to properly call out/motivate your club, the biggest loser of all may in fact be Cammalleri himself. Chiming in with just nine goals in 37 games this year, the six million dollar winger has his chance to back up his words with a strong showing against a team he's killed since joining the Habs back in 2009. With four goals and five assists in 11 contests against Boston since putting a Montreal sweater, the goal celebrations have been few and far between as of late for the 29-year-old, tallying just four goals in the last 20 games.

But breaking the drought won't be any easier for Cammalleri and the Habs tonight, as they go toe-to-toe with the Bruins' Tim Thomas in the 716th installment of this rivalry. The 37-year-old Thomas has tamed the Habs with ease this year. Boasting a 2-1-0 record against Montreal this year, Thomas comes into play with a .961 save-percentage against the Canadiens this year, and has a .927 save-percentage on home-ice this year.

He'll be opposed by Montreal net-minder Carey Price. Making his 38th start of the year, Price comes into play with seven wins in 12 career starts at the Garden, but has lost two out of his last five with an .897 save-percentage.

On a roster note for the Bruins, the suspension to Brad Marchand has forced the Bruins to do some line shuffling, and tonight Jordan Caron gets his chance to slide into the Boston line-up.

Recalled from Providence for what seems like the billionth time this year, Caron will skate on the wing of Boston's third line with Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley.

"What we’d like him to push himself a little bit more is to have the confidence to do more offensively," Claude Julien said of Caron. "I remember seeing him in camp his first year and how he took the puck to the net and really use his size and strength to take those pucks to the net, and that was pretty impressive to me. I think now he just wants to make sure he doesn’t make any mistakes and I don’t want him to play that way."

Caron's insertion into the line-up will force Zach Hamill to watch this one from the press-box.

First Period

20:00 - Fourth lines going head to head to begin the night here in Boston. The Gregory Campbell line gets the start for Boston opposite the Petteri Nokelainen line for Montreal.

18:37 - That's not how Montreal wants to start this one. An odd bounce off the glass from a Johnny Boychuk dump-in, and it's 1-0 in favor of the Bruins. That was an empty net for Jordan Caron, who scores his second goal of the season, and Price is clearly frustrated but there's nothing he could do about that one. Dude didn't even have a prayer on that.

11:20 - Tyler Seguin with a tremendous deke around Alexei Emelin but the Montreal net is knocked off its pegs. No penalty on the play, but the face-off will be in the CH zone.

7:33 - Thomas with a great stop on Mike Blunden. B's captain Zdeno Chara takes some exception to the move, apparently, and hits Blunden away from the puck. No whistle.

3:41 - Lars Eller and Shawn Thornton exchanging pleasantries in front of the benches. Eller will not go with Thornton, and who can blame him? Not his style of game, and definitely not in the same weight-class as Thornton.

2:33 - A Boston giveaway almost leads to a goal for Andrei Kostitsyn but Thomas says no. His 15th save of the period.

2:19 - B's power-play going to work, Eller to the box.

:53 - The Boston power-play will be killed by a Benoit Pouliot penalty. That's a boarding call against the former-Hab, coming against Raphael Diaz. The period will finish with 53 tics of four-on-four.

Thoughts after one...

Isn't this the tamest first you've seen between the Bruins and Canadiens? Speaks to how lopsided the rivalry is as of right now. Whether you like it or not, at the end of the day, the point differential in the standings is just too great for this game to mean more than your ho-hum divisional match-up. Slightly upsetting, for sure.

Second Period

15:00 - Rather pedestrian start to the second frame. There have been a few skirmishes, but nothing to write home about. Thomas standing tall, and Price has been solid.

10:00 - B's can't score. The Habs can't score, and this game lacks some serious energy.

9:00 - Seguin throws the body on Subban, Subban falls, and the crowd loves that one.

3:52 - Boston going back on the power-play. Travis Moen going off this time around. Interference is the call.

1:00 - Seguin gets a tiny bump and Adam McQuaid promptly comes over to check on how things are. Yeah, this is like that.

Thoughts after two...

Goodness, where's the energy? The hatred? The passion?! This is the most listless game between these two rivals in recent memory, and the teams just look lethargic out there. B's currently getting outshot 22 to 20, and yeah, that's all I got.

Third Period

18:59 - Milan Lucic and Emelin are exchanging some shoves.

16:17 - Bruins make it 2-0. Horton passes it to Lucic in front of the Montreal net, and Lucic backhands it by Price. The Habs look lifeless, and that should be a dagger in this one.

13:28 - Diaz going to the box.

12:00 - Lucic and Subban absolutely going at it, no penalties will be called against either. I think they like each other, right?

10:00 - Krejci notes on the point: With that point on the Lucic goal, Krejci has a 10-game point streak, tying a career-high, it's also the longest point streak by an NHLer this year.

7:43 - Subban comes up with a questionable hit on Krejci and a melee ensues. Andrew Ference drops the gloves and tries going at it with Subban but Subban covers up. At one point, Ference was literally dragging Subban.

7:43 - Boston will end up shorthanded at the end of this, as Ference gets a double-minor for roughing.

7:34 - One goal game! Yannick Weber on the power-play, Erik Cole with a great screen on Thomas.

5:00 - No sign of Cammalleri on the bench. Team officials saying he's been sent to team hotel to await further instructions. Trade?

2:00 - Multiple outlets confirming that Cammalleri has been traded. No word on for who or what.

0.0 - B's hang out, down Habs, 2-1.
