UPDATE: 3:35pm

Per HNIC's Andi Petrillo, forward Matt Frattin has been sent down to the Toronto Marlies.

Also, defenseman Korbinian Holzer has been sent down as well.

Dion Phaneuf was unable to dodge a bullet, but it did not seriously wound him. The Leafs captain left the ice in the third period of last night's 4-0 victory over Winnipeg after taking an Andrew Ladd shot in the face and was not at Leafs practice this morning.

Phaneuf did not suffer any broken bones from the shot, but was given the day to recuperate. He is expected to play tomorrow night against Detroit.

Forward Mike Brown and defenseman Mike Komisarek have been cleared and will be in the lineup tomorrow night. Brown worked with David Steckel and Darryl Boyce on the fourth line, taking the place of rookie Matt Frattin.

Komisarek will likely replace Keith Aulie unless Phaneuf cannot go tomorrow night.

Winger Colby Armstrong was also not on the ice at the MasterCard Center and has suffered a setback in his return from concussion issues. Coach Ron Wilson indicated that Armstrong is being shut down from on-ice work for a few days.

Listen to www.am980.ca from 8 to 10 to "The Hook" with Norman James, I will be a guest on the show at around 9:30.
