There's no denying that the CHL is the first thing that jumps into your head any mention of the NHL Entry Draft. For years it has been among the leaders for developing NHL prospects. But recent years have seen a significant surge in USHL coverage, especially coming out of Ann Arbor.

The U.S. National Team Development Program has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years and become a top source of A level prospects. 2011 saw the likes of J.T. Miller, Tyler Biggs and Connor Murphy drafted in the NHL Draft's First Round.

2012 is no exception, boasting a number of prospects to keep an eye on.

Jacob Trouba - Defense
Already talked about here, Trouba is an elite skater with size and a physical edge to his game. He can lay some bone-crushing hits when he wants to. A player with tremendous vision, Trouba forces the play offensively and tries to contribute any chance he gets. He has a booming point shot and is always looking to improve his overall game.

Miles Koules - Forward
Skill and drive describe the son of former Tampa Bay Lightning owner, Oren Koules. An explosive skater who can zig-zag though traffic, Miles shows a high IQ for the game as well as creativity and vision. He's a gifted shooter who always seems to be creating offense. Not to mention he's as humble as they come.

Nicholas Kerdiles - Forward
Similar to J.T. Miller last year, Kerdiles is on the up-and-up, slowly creeping into some Top 30 lists. While not overly flashy, Kerdiles is a steady player who plays the game hard. He's at his best offensively around the net and deep on the attack using his frame to out muscle opponents. He's very sound defensively and very responsible. He gets the job done at both ends. He's one of those players who just finds ways to score.

Collin Olson - Goalie
A large tender who takes up most of the net, Olson plays very conservatively in his net with little movements. His height allows him to take away a good portion of the net, and limit his need to come out of the paint. He's another in a list of USNTDP goalies who's really impressed, including John Gibson last year and Jack Campbell prior.
