Last 10: Canadiens 3-3-4 / New Jersey 5-5-0

Battle of the stats

Goals for/against per game

Montreal - 2.45 / 2.45
New Jersey - 2.37 / 2.85

Powerplay/Penalty Kill percentage

Montreal - 11.4% / 89%
New Jersey - 13% / 94.1%

Here are the projected lines (subject to change) for the Canadiens:

Mike Cammalleri - Tomas Plekanec - Andrei Kostitsyn
Max Pacioretty - David Desharnais - Erik Cole
Louis Leblanc - Lars Eller - Travis Moen
Mathieu Darche - Petteri Nokelainen - Yannick Weber

Josh Gorges - PK Subban
Alexei Emelin - Tomas Kaberle
Hal Gill - Chris Campoli / Raphael Diaz

Here are the projected lines (subject to change) for the Devils:

Zach Parise - Adam Henrique - Ilya Kovalchuk
Petr Sykora - Patrik Elias - Dainius Zubrus
Mattias Tedenby - Ryan Carter - David Clarkson
Eric Boulton - Tim Sestito - Nick Palmieri

Bryce Salvador - Adam Larsson
Henrik Tallinder - Mark Fayne
Matt Taormina - Alexander Urbom

Notes: Anton Volchenkov is banged up and will not play...Matt Taormina and Urbom will draw in...Mark Fraser will sit...Rod Pelley will sit as well...Martin Brodeur will start...Adam Henrique is on a seven game point streak...Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Parise are on six game point streaks.

Canadiens to watch out for:

Tomas Kaberle - This is his first game with the Canadiens. Will we see the Kaberle of old or the one we saw on Boston and Carolina?

PK Subban - After a 38 point season (in 77 games) last year, Subban has just 11 points in 29 games. He needs to produce more.

Carey Price - The team goes as he does. If he struggles today the Canadiens won't have much of a chance.

Devils to watch out for:

Mattias Tedenby - He has been playing very well as of late and tallied his first goal of the season on Thursday.

Adam Henrique - The 21-year old rookie is currently on a seven game point streak (2G, 7A).

Martin Brodeur - He always starts, and usually plays well, against Montreal. It will be interesting to see if the latter continues today.
