Lamoriello sticking around

According to Elliott Friedman of CBC, this will not be Lou Lamoriello's final season as President and General Manager as has been speculated by many different people. When Elliott Friedman asked Lamoriello if this is his final season as General Manager of the Devils Lou Lamoriello replied with "No, not unless you know something I don't."

Realignment thoughts

Word is from multiple writers at the Board of Governor's meetings that the hope is to have the realignment plan for next season finalized. The plan that appears to be the most likely would see the Devils in the same division as the Flyers, Penguins, Rangers, Islanders, Capitals and Hurricanes. Obviously that's some tough company but I love the idea of the four division plan.

Sean Leahy wrote a great piece at Puck Daddy about this possible realignment.

Devils News and Notes

According to Tom Gulitti, Mattias Tedenby was moved up to the second line for practice today. He was playing alongside Petr Sykora and Patrik Elias. I'm thrilled for Tedenby as he has been playing some very good hockey as of late. He deserves more ice.

The Devils announced today that they have recalled Nick Palmieri from Albany. He will likely play tomorrow in place of Cam Janssen who is out with a contusion.

Martin Brodeur will start tomorrow. I'd by lying if I said I am surprised; however, I do think that Johan Hedberg was more deserving of the start.

Bryce Salvador had a day off today as he was still banged up from his crash to the net against the Winnipeg Jets. Mark Fraser will take his place tomorrow if he can not go.

Rod Pelley is expected to be a healthy scratch yet again.
