What is being billed as "The Battle of BC" resumes tonight as the Hawks are in town. The Blackhawks are looking to keep things rolling and win their 4th in a row while the Canucks, lead by Aaron Rome, will be looking to buck this win one, lose one trend they seem to be in this season. I believe this game will be a whole lot different then the one played in Chicago ten days ago.

Reason 1- John Scott is playing
I have no idea why the Hawks feel the need to dress Scott other then they are tired of Bieksa beating their players up. The Hawks had the advantage 5-on-5 last game, in my opinion this is a step backwards for them. Having Scott in the line up almost assures the Canucks will out play the Hawks for the 8-10 minutes Scott is on the ice. The 8-10 minutes Scott plays will be like 4 to 5 extra PP's because there are only four Hawks hockey players on the ice with one pylon.

Reason 2- The Hawks PK cannot possibly be as bad as they were last time
The Canucks went 5/6 on the power-play last game. That is pretty much impossible to do once, so I cannot see it happening again. While the Chicago PK has been terrible since Vancouver lit them up, there is no way they will be that bad again. If Canada played Japan in hockey I'm not sure they could go 5 for 6 on the PP, I doubt the Canucks do it again either. I say the Canucks will be lucky to get 1 power play goal and tonight.

Reason 3- Hawks have something to prove
The Hawks weren't as bad as the score indicated last game. They outscored Vancouver 5-on-5 but they score made the game look like they were ass whipped. The Hawks are a proud team and will play a lot better tonight. I'm sure coach Q has drilled into their heads that if they play 5-on-5 Vancouver can't beat them. The way the Canucks are playing these days, I'd have to agree with that statement. I think the Hawks play a lot more disciplined and take less than 4 penalties tonight.

Reason 4- Duncan Keith
Keith was missing last game. Anytime you take out one of the top 3 D's in the league you will struggle. As much as Hawks fans won't admit it, everyone knows the Hawks are Keith and Toews team. Every other Hawk is just a complimentary player, really good complimentary players, but complimentary players none the less. Last game the Hawks only had one star and they were like playing the Canucks with only one Sedin. This game they have both stars so I think things will be a lot different.

If I add up all these reasons I'm leaning towards a Hawks win tonight. But I then I remember that Rome is playing and we can lose as long as the referee doesn't toss him out. Rome is the equalizer, and the Hawks have no answer for his offensive prowess. Wesley Snipes made the saying "Always bet on black" famous in Passenger 57. Tonight there is no way I'm betting on "Black" hawks, I always bet on Rome. He doesn't lose.

Prediction 3-2 Canucks

Enjoy your day.

P.S. VOTE ROME TODAY FOR ALL STAR!!!!!!!!!

PPS

The Luongo rumours will never go away until fans stop expecting him to be Hasek every game and he stops brain farting. Take them for what they are but don't expect them to go away.
