Looking to Blow off Work? and more Sens Speculation |

The Phantoms are playing an AHL game vs. The WB-Scranton Pens at 11:05 et today. If you are in the Philly area head on down or you can actually purchase and watch the game online today at https://www.b2livetv.com/bp/ahl.htm on the b2 network. The Phantoms will be debuting LIGHTED HOCKEY NETS today.
The nets come from Litnets Inc., a company based in Ottawa. Litnets has developed and patented the new hockey net, which contains thousands of miniature light emitting diodes (LED) in the posts and crossbar. When a goal is scored, the net is activated by a goal judge and the posts and crossbar light up.
The Nets have been used in some prospects games in Canada and people who have seen them love it.
Let me be the first to throw out the first pun here. This really does bring new meaning to the saying, "That goalie really got lit up."
Anyway, I wish I could head down today because the nets have "media availability" ten minutes before and after the game, and I have never interviewed anything inanimate prior to this.
In all seriousness, I am always one for trying anything progressive, and I may have to watch this game online to see how it looks. B2 streams AHL games in amazingly high quality, so I do suggest checking this out. Just have your mouse on the button in case your boss walks by. (something you probably are already good at if you are reading this site.)
Things are very intense in Ottawa currently. Almost everyone I talk to continues to speculate on "major changes" this week, and yet the longer it goes you have to start to question that speculation.
