The Flyers avoided going through a future arbitration today as tough guy Dan Carcillo relented and signed a one-year deal worth $1.075 million.

That's a small bump from his $900,000 salary of last year and officially makes him part of that exclusive "millionaire" club we all strive to join someday. LOL.

I wonder how much all the rumors about Simon Gagne leaving and Nikolai Zherdev's signing, Jody Shelley, cap money disappearing fast, Arron Asham's negotiations , etc., factored in? I bet Carcillo thought to himself, 'better sign now or face no job later.'
