Car Bomb Time

CHICAGO _ So the operative question this evening in the not-so-Windy City where it's been raining much of the day is ...

Will the Car Bomb explode and how much damage does he do in Game 2 against Chicago in this Stanley Cup Final?

Dan Carcillo has shown in these playoffs how much of an effective player he can be when his emotions border on the insane but don't cross the line. Peter Laviolette threw out a stat today saying he was +25 - or close to that - during the regular season in DRAWING penalties as opposed to taking them.

I really think the Flyers missed his energy in Game 1. They weren't physical. I totally disagree with Laviolette's assessment that they were.

“We got to get into this series, get on the board and get a win,” Carcillo said. “You got to keep a level head. In the end, it’s hockey. I just have to make sure my emotions don get the best of me. It’s a good test.

“I’ll be looking to be physical and get in on the forecheck. Get the puck to my linemates. Bringing energy ... This is pretty much all I’ve been thinking about for the last week. It’s there.

“Obviously, I’m looking to make a difference whether that be scoring or just going out and banging everybody that I see which is pretty standard for me. If I don’t do that, then I’m not in the game, anyway.”

Ian Laperriere said it best: "Daniel will bring what Daniel does best: He’ll bring intensity.”

JVR comes out; Oskars Bartulis is supposed to start in place of Ryan Parent on defense.
