Wondering how Brian Boucher is feeling right now?

“Yeah, and I still feel I’m a kid at heart,” he told the media on Monday.

I like his attitude as the Flyers prep to meet the Devils when the playoffs begin tomorrow. I like the fact that he has not gotten down on himself and how he has rolled with the punches through very good games and very bad games.

“You never stop learning in this game,” Boucher said. “When you think you’ve learned everything, there’s more to learn. Like this season, was a lot of learning again. There’s always adversity to face.

“When you keep working, don’t give up and believe in yourself, a result like that – a turnaround to get into the playoffs _ it’s really special. When you go to the lows, it makes the highs that much sweeter.”

Everyone in Flyerdom is going to think that I have had another senior moment when I say this, but I sense the Flyers found out something about beating Marty Brodeur this season and they can use it to their advantage.

“It just seems we had his number this year,” Arron Asham told me this week. “He’s the greatest goalie to ever play the game. We can’t go in there thinking it’s a cake walk. It’s a totally different season.

“Hopefully the trend continues where we get three goals on him … He has some trouble with his footwork so you shoot the puck low, from bad angles. It seems, this year, that’s how we got the majority of our goals [on him].”

Which is why I think the Flyers can win this series in 7 games. I think they match up better with NJ than any other team they could drawn.

I know, I'm nuts.
