I would not read anything into the waiving of Danny Syvret today except the obvious:
1- Ryan Parent will likely come off LTI this week, perhaps by Tuesday;
2- When that happens, the Flyers will have too many d-men and the final regular season roster has to be set by Wednesday's 3 p.m. trade deadline.
Because he is still injured, the idea here to rehab Syvret w/Phantoms, play some games there and have go back on an AHL salary. Now, I don't see any club picking him off waivers, especially knowing he is injured and can't even shoot a puck properly.
So who is odd man out? Oskars Bartulis, I feel.
I still think we are going to see the Flyers LTI Ray Emery, probably this week ... No Emery at any of the practices. That probably says it all ...

BTW: If Team USA had showed up to play in the opening period instead of wading into the game, they win the gold ... R. Luongo looked more like R. Miller in the 2nd period than Miller did.
