The news out of Buffalo today was that Marty Biron will be in net again to face the Sabres while Ryan Miller stares at him from the other end of the ice. Patrick Lalime is injuried and there will be a back-up for the back-up. Robbie Schremp will once again be playing cards with Blake Comeau and Freddie Meyer in the press box and Doug Weight's dad brought friends to the game tonight. Got it all?

Okay, most importantly, Matt Moulson has a change of address. It seems that he will now also be living in Doug Weight's guest house (got that one???) along with young John Tavares. Can you say party? There were at least four Twitter offers for live in chefs to go work at Chez Dougie. After all, it looks like JT could stand to gain a few pounds.

When I was at the Coliseum on Monday, I spoke to Matt for my normal two minute-minor. (When you're doing it, it actually seems like forever.) I asked him about the winning streak:

"We're playing really well as a team and getting some outstanding goaltending. It seems like when we're making mistakes, we recover very quickly. I think that's key. We're not going to play a flawless game out there, but it seems like everyone is on the same page though. It's really a good feeling."
Winning is always better than losing for sure.

"The winning is a little easier. It's a lot more fun. Not to say we werent' having fun before, but... it's a lot more fun when we're winning. It's a great feeling to see all that hard work have a nice outcome. Much like the Dynasty Islanders, it wasn't an over night thing. It was a work-in-progress. We're trying to get better every single game."
And so far... they're achieving that goal. Although I'm sure Coach Gordon's video file is still getting new material for Islander movie nights.

Isles vs. Sabres at 7 pm, Yankees vs. Phillies at 7:57 pm. The Yankee game will be in maybe the 4th inning by the time we know who gets the two points.
