As many of you read in Eric Engels blog it looks like the reports of a possible reconciliation between Sergei Kostitsyn and the Habs was premature...
Eric Engels writes..."Several reports indicate Sergei Kostitsyn left the Hamilton Bulldogs, last night, and has subsequently been suspended by the Canadiens once again. Safe to say, he won't be filling in on the second line any time too soon..."
The Habs are definitely in sell mode now and there are now rumors that they may consider moving the Kostitsyn brothers in tandem. I have heard LA mentioned perhaps for Frolov. That makes a degree of sense. Cammalleri continues to canvas the Habs to get his former linemate in LA.
The Predators are also in the mix, but they are also popping up in rumors with Edmonton involving Penner or Cogliano. Yes, Penner's contract is a major obstacle and feels completely out of character with Nashville, but this year the Preds are in real need to make an impact move sooner than later. Penner has been picking up his game as of late and is believed to be the kind of player who could have a re-birth in a new city.
