On The Road To Happiness?
By Robert Trezza
Their bags are packed and they are set to take to the road, searching for a remedy in the sun. As catastrophic as they may feel to Devils’ fan losing the first two games is NOT the end of the world. In fact this road trip may just be what they need. They will have a chance to gel as a team and escape the local questions. If you break down the first two games you will see things that should come together in the upcoming weeks. Ill-advised penalties are sure to be something that the coaching staff is going to drive in their heads not to have happened.
The power play, although not producing the goals for as many PP chances they had did start to come together more in game two. The chances where their, but the puck just did not hit the net, as needed. The biggest factor that will definitely lead to the Devils breaking into the win column is that fact that Marty will surely find his game. A quick glance around the league will show some of the upper echelon of goalies did not get off to the best starts either. Rest a sure when the season ends they will find themselves on the right path, as will Marty.
My advice to the Devils’ faithful, come off the ledge and enjoy the sun.
