Sources are buzzing about the Leafs and Bruins and Phil Kessel.

My source in Toronto confirmed that the two #1's and a 2nd was "one of several offers the Leafs have put forth for Kessel."

Here are some quotes from other sources to hopefully add some clarity (but really muddy the waters).

"I am not completely buying that two #1 picks that are being offered by the Leafs is the offer the Bruins will jump on. I think it is an option for the Leafs to build on, but remember, it was Burke NOT putting his current #1 into the pick at the draft that killed the deal. No one loves to build through the draft more than Brian Burke."

"Kessel wasn't always Burke's favorite player in the past, but he has come around on him for sure."

"Kessel may not play until December, so draft picks are a great option."

Meanwhile...

"A team out West is also very much in on Kessel at this point, and is offering a prospect that Chiarelli LOVES."
