Happy Fourth of July! It’s a beautiful Saturday here in New York State. And for those of us living on Long Island, if you’d like to add some Islanders Hockey to your day of celebration, you can head out to Jones Beach because the I.C.E. Tour and Josh Bailey will be celebrating there too. Bailey, you remember him, he was the Islanders highly touted first round draft pick from LAST year. This direct from their main website:

The Islanders will have their tents set up at several locations throughout Jones Beach, with the main tent being at the Central Mall, adjacent to Field 4. Islanders center Josh Bailey will be on hand signing autographs beginning at 5pm. In addition, there will be plenty of Islanders inflatable games for the kids and fun-filled activities.

Throughout the day you will also be able to get information on great Islanders initiatives, such as the FREE Islanders Kids Club and the Islanders Assist Impact Player Program. You will also be able to find out about great ticket offers. Anyone who purchases season tickets by July 6th will have the opportunity to meet Islanders No. 1 Draft pick John Tavares following his press conference on July 8th.

And what July 4th Celebration would be complete without fire-works as the Islanders are sponsoring this year‘s display at 9:30pm.

Those who are following the Islanders vs. the Town of Hempstead saga can come and support the team and its struggles on July 7th when Kate Murray and the Town board have their vote on the completeness of the DGEIS July 7th will be an important date for the LighthouseLI Project.

Yes, this is an all Islanders week here on Long Island. Off season? What off season? There’s no stinking off season.
