Around 5:00PM yesterday afternoon, Devils fans received an e-mail from the New Jersey Devils about "Martin Brodeur Day" in the state of New Jersey. Brodeur, who is considered maybe the best goaltender to ever play ice hockey, will be recognized by the New Jersey State Assembly and State Senate in Trenton after setting the record for the most wins ever by an NHL goaltender.

The Devils are sponsoring a train trip from the beautiful Prudential Center to the state capital, which will include a free train ticket with Devils alumni and the Devils' mascot, autographed Martin Brodeur mini goalie stick, t-shirt, lunch, and chances to win autographed prizes for the a "Best Dressed" contest. You must register by June 8th and spaces are limited.

This will be a great day for the state of New Jersey to recognize Brodeur and all hockey fans should take time to observe one of the greatest days in New Jersey history. Since the days of George Washington, New Jersey has been home to major historical events and March 17th was no different when the world witnessed Brodeur break the NHL record for the most wins, which may never be broken again in our lifetime.
