just a few quick hits rumors...after what turned into a VERY long day of travels..

As I am putting the rumor chart together I am making my calls, compiling emails, and coming up with some really interesting Quick Hits for discussion.

*Phaneuf+/Jay Bo rights swap has gained a ton of momentum today wth one NHL source telling me he believes there is a 80% chance that Jay Bo ends up in Calgary.

*Cammalleri to Ottawa looks very strong...other teams with interest include Atlanta and St. Louis.

*Gionta looks to be a 3 team race between Edm, Mont, and Buffalo.

*Komisarek could be heading to the the Island...he is a close #2 behind Jay Bo in my list of UFA D-men...

*Brent Sutter to Edmonton is DEFINITELY gaining Momentum.


There are of course rumours abounding regarding some potential UFAs still playing, but as is my policy, I don't talk rumors regarding players until they are out of the playoffs....but suffice to say many of my top guys are still competing and the 22 teams out of it have little to do but plan contingencies for July1 which is under two months away...

I will put up many more over the next few days prior to the coming launch of the UFA Rumour Chart.
