Apparently there is this internet thingy called a "Meme." I get tagged on Memes all the time. Some are just go watch this Youtube video of a cat playing the piano, while others consist of these chain letters like the recent Facebook Meme 25 Random Things abut Yourself where you have to tag 25 people or bad luck will befall you.

Anyway, I thought it was time for Hockeybuzz to get into the act with our own thing so here I am tagging all of you out there for

1. I was once driven home from a Flyers game by Darryl Sittler.

2. I was a goalie growing up, and my hockey number was #1 as a kid but not for Bernie Parent, but Gilles Gilbert.

3. When I met Pelle Lindbergh I switched my number to #31, which it has been ever since.

4. I have never caught a puck at a game, but my wife and daughter both have.

5. My Dog was named "Burt" by my wife after former journeyman defenseman Adam Burt because of their similar noses.

6. My Dad is a HUGE Red Wings fan and I grew up listening to countless Red Wings games on a scratchy Detroit AM station.

7. My sister used to stalk Peter Zezel.

8. My nickname was Pelle.

9. I once took an all night train from Philadelphia to Montreal to see a game in the Old Forum.

10. My favorite arena in which to watch a hockey game is the Sommet Center in Nashville.

11. I once shared an elevator in Dallas with Gordie Howe (RIP Colleen) and Sharkie, the San Jose Shark's Mascot.

12. I collect champaign corks from the last three Stanley Cup Winning Locker Rooms.

13. I refuse to touch the Stanley Cup.

14. The greatest hockey game I ever attended was Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final in 1987 Edmonton/Philadelphia.

15. I was a HUGE fan of Kenny Linseman.

16. Despite playing almost every hockey video game since Pong, I apparently suck at video hockey now that I am 40.

17. I have played more than 1000 Strat-O-Matic Hockey Games in my lifetime.

18. I have received a hockey jersey from a different team for Christmas for over 30 years.

19. Only once in my life did I not play goal, and in that game I still hold the record for scoring the fastest hat trick in Beck Hockey History. 48 seconds.

20. I invented an absolutely awesome hockey game called "Ping Pong Hockey" that was legendary in my neighborhood. The rules of the game are as follows...
* the game is 2 on 2 and is 2 periods that are 2 minutes long.
* Each team gets to play offense one period and defense one period.
* The game is played in a basement that is walled in with no openings.
* The game is played using a plastic practice golf ball. the old heavier kind with the oval holes in it.
* The team on offense shoots at a goal that is made from a refrigerator box cut in half and turned so you shoot at the top of the box.
* On defense one player wears full goalie equipment and an old vintage golden Kings jersey without a stick and must remain on his knees while the other player plays defense against the two forwards but can shoot at a goal that is made from a size ten shoebox.
* When the offense scores the defense is given a free shot from behind his own goaline at the shoebox which is not guarded. The play becomes live after the ball either goes in the net or hits the back wall.
