Word is Derek Morris is not expected to be in the lineup when the Phoenix Coyotes host the Blues this evening.

Morris will almost dfinitely be traded before Wednesday.

Steve Reinprecht is also likely on the way out of Phoenix along with Olli Jokinen.

Montreal, Columbus, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver have all expressed some level of interest in Jokinen.

Pittsburgh has not ruled out the possibility of moving Center Jordan Staal.

Despite what you are hearing my sources tell me things remain very quiet as we sit right now.

I know Marco Sturm has been placed on Long Term Injury to provide the Bruins some salary breathing room but how are they going to fit Chris Pronger at $6.25 into their payroll? Are they just going to start sending guys to the minors?

Anaheim is not in position to take back salary as they start their rebuilding process. They want picks and prospects for their stud D-man.

Understand any team looking to acquire Pronger will almost certainly sign him to an extension so fans might want to rule out the possibility of him becoming a UFA after next season.

Expect Pronger to ask for top dollar as well, don't anticipate him taking any type of discount.

Memo to NHL GM's.... If you want Pronger, now's the time to get him, don't expect him to be available next summer.

As of this minute the Blues have not approached Keith Tkachuk about accepting a trade.

I'm not sure why Blues scout Kevin MacDonald taking in the Bruins Capitals game this afternoon is news. He just so happens to live in the Boston area and attends several Bruins games throughout the year.

The idea the Blues would be sending Perron to Anaheim in exchange for Pronger is news to St. Louis Blues management.

More to come,
