Yes, we will know about Bouwmeester soon. very soon.

According to a source, Jay is deciding on if he will sign an extension or be dealt in the next 72 hours.

"The Panthers are not comfortable with this hanging out there much longer."

What is lost in all this is the fact that the Panthers are playing some amazing hockey. I believe firmly that they are not only a playoff team but will challenge whoever they face. The Bruins were reminded how tight the East can be by losing two games in Florida this past weekend.

Again teams talking to the Panthers are well aware that they need to put an offer on the table that would help the Panthers both Now and Later.

While I still see the Flyers as the most likely destination for Jay Bo, other teams are in on this as well and the price is very steep.

Of course, when Jeff Carter left the ice early today from practice the rumour mill went crazy. It later turned out that Jeff had the flu but the fact that people did believe that this could possibly be a deal with Florida for Bouwmeester gives you an idea of how expensive the Jay Bo price is, and if it is that high then there aren't many teams beyond the Flyers and Calgary that have the needed assets to make it happen.

And Calgary has a serious shot here as well...I have talked to more than one person who insisted that Jay Bo would love to return to Alberta.

In Montreal there is a real "calm before the storm" feeling coming in from all sources. Montreal has be completely internal to this point when it came to their reaction to the Lightning and Vinny.

"That is about to end," a source confirmed...

"I would put the percentage of chance that Vinny ends up in Montreal at 65%," a source confirmed to me. and this source really ought to know....

the following is the list of players from the weekend that are really starting to show up more and more...
