End of the first period, Panthers up 1-0.

Zajac gets a penalty, but the Florida player dove. Now it is 4 on 4.

Devils on the power play.....Elias came close............

DING.........Oduya's shot rings off the post............Florida still up 1-0.

Clemmy almost coughs up the puck. I can't believe the Devils are playing to the level of the Panthers.

Wow, Florida scored. Weiss scores off a rebound. Looks like the Devils will need to wake up and start the machine.

Game has started. The Florida arena looks empty.

So the Devils head down to the state of Florida this week for vacation games against the # 7 Panthers and #13 Lightning after beating two of the three NHL's elite. Could this be "trap" games for the team from Jersey? The answer is no.

I view the NHL's Southeast as a weak division and a chance to better pad your record in the standings, like how the Detroit Red Wings have in their Central division for years. The Capitals have "capitalized" on that this year and if the Devils want to catch up and surpass Boston, they need to treat these games seriously. And no worries, Brent Sutter will have this team firing on all cylinders.

Woo Joke of the Day!

911 Operator: "What is your emergency?"
Caller: "I'm choking."
911 Operator: "What is your location?"
Caller: "Rangers' locker room."
