I have to tell you. Never question the Devils mascot: NJ Devil.

I was debating of reporting this new source but I figured that if Eklund has Burt the Dog making predictions, I’ll report what NJ Devil is predicting.

When the Devils were slumping and down 4-0 to the Atlanta Thrashers a couple weeks ago, I was worried about the road trip that followed. NJ Devil came to my section in 208 and did the rail slide. College Night at the Rock is always a good time but I was not feeling the good karma. Then, the mascot came to me and said: They will win five of six and probably lose to Anaheim.

It turns out, the Devils went 5-1-0 and could have went undefeated and beaten Anaheim had the referee actually seen the puck go in. Ouch! (Another story for another day) Maybe NJ Devil and I should go to Las Vegas: Instead the mascot will be at the Rock tonight and predicted victory over the Montreal Canadiens. (e666)

Mussa will be out 1-2 weeks.

Roger Mussa will be out on assignment for the next couple weeks. So I think I’ll be covering New Jersey Devils hockey and adding some of my commentary for the next couple weeks. The e-mails have been great and keep those questions and comments coming.
