Quick hit here from Dinner...

Just heard from an NHL source that the Senators are looking hard at Erik Cole. "Put it this way, if it happened right around the All-Star game, I truly feel that few would be surprised."

Secondly, The Habs continue to ponder whether or not to put the deal out there for Vinny, but sources tell me that the Lightning stance on making this deal "a deal that none will dispute is a very strong hockey trade for the Lightning," is apparently working its way into the Canadien's thinking according to multiple sources.

"If Montreal wants Vinny they are aware of how much it will take," I am told via a text message from a source in the Rangers organization. A source that says the Rangers still maintain that they are in this although they would need to part with Marc Staal.

Also, DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT count the Leafs out of the Bouwmeester sweeps. They are definitely the darkhorse. Especially if Jason Blake can keep up this pace.
