First off, I am working on a possible three team deal so later in the day or tonight when things calm down I will be writing an entire blog devoted to the Jason Williams saga. So my apologies for those of you who want to know more on what happened with Williams but since he has now signed in Atlanta I need to get this strong rumour out to all of you now.

After Sens GM Bryan Murray was burned by Williams he has turned his attention to getting help on defense and a number one goaltender I am told. Murray is being very aggressive in his pursuit for what he wants on this Sens team.

The names I am hearing that would be involved in a three team deal are Martin Gerber, Nikolai Khabibulin, Antoine Vermette, Chris Neil and Cam Barker. What I am trying to get confirmation on is what names are involved with the Kings. Now if LA is not a part of this deal then it will be a two way deal with the Hawks and Sens but then there is a strong chance the goaltenders won't be a part of it. When looking at this deal it has alot to do with cap implications for the Hawks, so please keep this in mind.

As I mentioned, I am hearing different things on this potential deal. Gerber would end up in LA as Chicago wants to shed Bulin's salary while not taking on another goaltenders salary. The Hawks are trying to get a long term deal done with Vermette. Vermette definitely wants to be traded and I think he is about to get his wish.

I will be updating this blog all afternoon as information comes in. Stay tuned for more.

UPDATED at 225pm EST*****Murray is asking for Brent Seabrook as part of the package. The Hawks want a player that can step in right now or a package of top prospects? That would mean Andrej Meszaros is on the move and or Brian Lee along with someone down in Binghamton.****
