A quick note on Saturday's game first: It appears as is the Flyers will split up Daniel Briere and Simon Gagne, at least temporarily. The two have really been struggling together. Joffrey Lupul will apparently be back in the lineup ahead of schedule.

Notes:

*Simon Gagne has taken a team-high 35 shots over the last 10 games. Linemate Daniel Briere has taken 15.

* Randy Jones has put 13 shot attempts on goal (with a pair of goals), has been blocked 11 times and missed the net 8 other times. Also, six of his 12 giveaways came in a single game (the last time the Flyers played the Rangers).

* Jason Smith has averaged 14:35 of ice time per game over the last 10 games, sixth among the Flyers defensemen.

* In his last 10 games, Jim Vandermeer is an all-purpose minus-four. He has been out for nine even strength goals against (three in the last Rangers game), three powerplay goals against, and one shorthanded goal against. He's also been out for seven even strength goals for and two powerplay goals for (one his own, the other a goal on which he drew an assist).

* Mike Richards has only gone three consecutive games without a point once this season.

* The Flyers have a 23-11-3 record with Derian Hatcher in the lineup, 7-7-2 without him.
On the flip side, Hatcher has nine giveways in the last seven games and has been out for 11 goals against in that span: 3 PPGA vs. Devils, 1 ESGA and 1 PPGA vs. Penguins, 1 ESGA vs. Kings, no GA vs. Rangers, no GA (plus-two) vs. Ducks, 2 ESGA (1 ESGF) vs. Thrashers, 3 ESGA vs. Capitals.
