The Rangers and Hurricanes have moved on in the East and have a date to play one another in the second round. The Oilers and Avalanche have advanced in the West and await their next opponent.

In the East, the Panthers will play the winner of the Bruins-Maple Leafs series. Game six is tonight in Toronto.

Out West, the Avs will play the winner of the Stars vs. Golden Knight series (Dallas leads 3-2, Game 6 is Friday in Vegas). The Oilers will play the winner of the Canucks vs. Predators series (Vancouver leads, 3-2, Game 6 is Friday in Nashville).
