Hell week continues for the Rangers tonight in Boston. After falling 4-2 to the Jets, the scheduled gets no easier for New York as they take on Boston. Looming next is Florida at home. The division lead is now two points as Carolina is not losing, bolstered by their deadline acquisitions. Matt Rempe gets back in the lineup while Jonathan Quick is between the pipes.

Rangers lineup vs. Bruins:
Kreider-Zibanejad-Roslovic
Panarin-Trocheck-Lafrenière
Cuylle-Wennberg-Kakko
Rempe-Goodrow-Vesey

Gustafsson-Fox
Miller-Schneider
Jones-Ruhwedel

Quick
Shesterkin

Scratches: Trouba (lower-body injury), Lindgren (lower-body injury) Brodzinski (healthy), Scanlin (healthy)
LTIR: Chytil, Wheeler

Quick gets his first chance at tying Ryan Miller for most wins by a US born goalie. Miller is at 391 wins and Quick should see at least 3-4 more starts this season. If you ask Quick, he will downplay the significance and focus on the need to get the team a victory.

This is the eighth game in 13 days for the Blueshirts. They went 5-1 during the six contests in nine days stretch but have to be a little gassed. The two days off after the Panthers match up Saturday will be a huge benefit for New York, who are well-conditioned but also playing without two of their top-six blueliners.

Rempe should provide an emotion and physical boost. He needs to heed his own words and make sure he plays smarter without losing any physicality. The spotlight will most certainly be on him given recent events and the media hype surrounding him. Staying on the straight and narrow while also making a material impact will be the challenge for Rempe in this case and beyond.
