Jeff Glass is re-called from Binghamton/Ray Emery ailing?

Jeff Glass has been re-called from Binghamton of the AHL to back-up Martin Gerber tonight when the Atlanta Thrashers come to town. The limo was waiting for Glass immediately following the Baby Sens 4-3 win over Syracuse. It was Brian Elliott who was in goal for the Baby Sens win though.

Glass deserves the shot at getting called up as he has had a very strong season. He currently has a 2.22 GAA which puts him 7th in the AHL amongst his fellow goaltenders.

How bad is the right hip injury that Ray Emery sustained while in Carolina? Does this hip injury go back to Emery's lower back baseball injury that he incurred over a month and a half ago? One has to wonder.......

Still no word on the status of Brian McGrattan's sprained right shoulder. Regardless, Bryan Murray needs to call up a capable forward who can play a regular shift on the 4th line. Get it done already!

I have been told that Alexander Nikulin has been a man among boys in the AHL. Hopefully he brings a little more edge to his game if he gets the call once again because his 2 game stint in Ottawa last month was disastrous.

I will have a post-game blog up Sunday, family commitment folks.
