Maple Leafs and Oilers Place players on Waivers |

The Blues did not place a player on waivers this morning. A roster move must be made before Martin Rucinsky can be taken off IR. I've been told Rucinsky isn't ready to return from his his hand injury. He's missed more than a week with a bone bruise.
Edmonton has placed D-man Mathieu Roy on waivers.
Toronto has waived forward Bates Battaglia.
The Blues have also have officially notified Hockey Canada that forward David Perron will not be participating in the World Junior Championships. Indications given to me last week suggested that the Blues would lend Perron to Hockey Canada for the tournament.
Perron helped himself the last two games by playing very solid hockey. Blues fans are hoping the joke is over and Perron is a mainstay in the Blues lineup for the rest of the sseason.
More to come,
