Jaromir Jager play his first pre-season game last night for the New York Rangers against The New York Islanders at the Nassau Coliseum. Jagr played between Michael Nylander at center and Brendan Shanahan on right wing. Jagr logged 21:08 of ice time. 21 shifts, 6:55 of power play time. Had no shots on goal. "I felt pretty good skating I didn't get tried at all", Jagr said after the game." The hands are not there yet". The patience of the game isn't there yet." Jagr continued. "I didn't feel any pain in my shoulder, I felt good on the boards," Jagr stressed to the media five months after undergoing surgery to repair his dislocated left shoulder.

"I worried about myself. I wanted to get something from the game." Jager said at his locker. "I was happy to play. I get to play two exhibition games instead of one before the season starts. My goal was to survive and get the feeling of the game."
