Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there - enjoy your day!

The Panthers won’t be focused on securing that coveted Mother’s Day brunch reservation today. Instead, they are zoned in on winning Game 4 at TD Garden.

Game 3 caught me by surprise a bit. I was fully expecting a crushing wave of offense and physicality from Boston to open things up, however, the B’s seemed to struggle to get anything going the first two periods.

While Boston floundered to find the gas pedal, Florida took advantage by bringing their game to the B’s. But it should be noted that the Cats need to be careful…the third period got pretty dicey for a bit there.

With the Panthers up 4-0 in the third, the combo of letting up a bit and the Bruins finding there game, quickly saw that cushion cut in half to 4-2.

In fact, Florida was very lucky to maintain the lead (and ultimately the win) in my opinion. The reason I say that is because Boston was mere inches away from scoring a few more goals. If it wasn’t for Bob, and a lot of luck, I believe the Cats could have been on the receiving end of a very big (and very disappointing) loss.

TONIGHT

For Florida, the game plan is simple: all gas, no brakes.

Cats lead the series 2-1 and want to try to dominate the B’s at home to win that mental edge and break Boston’s spirit heading back to Florida.

Bennett’s return was a big bonus, as he is a certified rugged postseason guy. The hotly debated hit on Marchand has no doubt fired up the B’s and I expect a lot of bodies to be flying at #9 today, and hot crowd with some choice yells…

It’s been nice seeing Florida’s goal production coming from up and down the lineup. The guys you pay/need to score are doing it. Great to see Tarasenko get one in GM 3. Add to that, the guys you don’t really expect to score are also chipping in — stick tap to the fourth line for being the dark horse in this series.

No lineup changes if I’m Maurice. The focus has to be on driving the pace and attacking Boston’s blue paint, because that’s where all eyes are focused on…with the big question being, who is Montgomery going to start?
