I lived in Etobicoke from 1980 - 1992, and in Toronto from 1992 - 2003, then Mississauga from 2003 - 2009.

The age that you are when you live in a large city has a direct proportionate affect on how much you'll like that place. Being in Toronto in my 20's and early 30s was exactly where I wanted to be and I wouldn't change it for a thing.

Conversely going into my middle 30s in Mississauga was tough. I never wanted any part of suburbia so there was a lot of adaptation and acceptance for me. Now I've been out in Waterdown for almost 15 years and I have to say that in my 50s it's another place that suits me - it's relatively quiet, traffic is dead after 7pm and it's still close enough to anything you really need.

But Toronto in the 1990s, for me, was so alive and awesome. Queen West had pretty much everything I ever needed at different times of the day.

- a couple of fun areas to grab a decent bite to eat or a pint, check

The only thing that's worse in my book about Ottawa is more sens fans and more cold

GF's parents live in a retirement park outside of Sarnia. It's like a little gated miniature village out in the middle of nowhere . Totally dead because it's full of old people. We (frank)ing love it. We want to move there as soon as we get old enough to be allowed in.
