We just got back from a bike ride as well.
Rode past Mill Pond downtown and saw a few anglers trying for some straggler trout.
They stock the pond every year just before trout opener. We rode by there last year on the Sunday after opener and there were still quite a few anglers. There were 2 boys around 10 fishing right where we stopped. Everyone was casting out as far as they could with floats etc. I laughed and handed my fancy polarized sunglasses to my wife. She chuckled, and then I said to one of the boys, “Try these on, and try to keep calm.” The kid struggled to keep his cool as he handed the glasses to his friend. The trout were cruising about 15’ from shore. No one was wearing glasses where we were standing, and everyone was casting beyond the fishies.
I told the kid, the glasses are too big for you, but keep them, you need them more than me. As we were riding away, his buddy was fighting a trout.

That smell is the (frank)ing chicken place.
That place has to go. It was stinky today.
My wife is going to harp on Gord next time we see him. With downtown being a restaurant destination, that smell is so bad sometimes in the summer that it will ruin your appetite.🤢🤢

need to put at least a 4 pack on the board tonight. can't keep hoping the goaltending wins the games for us and to keep winning games scoring roughly 2 goals or less per game (on average) like we have the last dozen games

That'd be nice but I feel like every game 7 is two teams trying hard not to lose. So they end up being pretty boring, low event types. first team to 2 might win.

Watching the 2 game last night, there were a total of 3 goals in both games. It's the way to win in the playoffs. It can be exciting but goal scoring is almost nonexistent right now.

I don't disagree at all. There will be a lot of those games and that's how the playoffs go. But at least once or twice in a series got to put goals on the board and take pressure of the goaltending

Could come down to just that. End of the day I'm sure we all want a win whether it's 1 goal in reg, overtime, or a blowout. Just win. Guess it's just s gut feeling we're gonna need more than 2 goals tonight if we want to get to the next round.

I don't agree. He did his job and helped set the physical tone. The games now are tight and detail oriented. Gregor brought speed and a responsible game last game. Last time we noticed Reaves he threw a pizza into the slot in our end which ended up in the net. You don't make the mistake Montgomery made and change a winning lineup.
