Agreed. I was using on mid price point sticks for a bit, but I've been targeting elite level sticks on sale (according to the manufacturers) and it's night and day.

Yes.

Only problem is, not that many models are available.

And the ones that are, you're still talking about spending well over 60k to buy an electric car. Sometimes at ridiculous interest rates.

Clearly, it's not for everyone.

The only good news about all this, there are more and more used models available on the market. You can get a used electric cars (2022-2023 models) for a little more than 40k.

If only they could remove the (frank)ing rule that you still have to pay taxes on used cars, it would be very accessible.

still don't understand why they're removing the subsidies if they're serious about lowering the number of gas-powered cars on the road, makes no sense.

1: LOVED the test drive. I want one.

2: We made our budget with the idea of buying a new one. Bottom line: Too expensive. Payments would be over 800$ a month + interests and that's including the money we'd get back from the government.

Add to that the idea of installing an electric terminal at home to recharge it, that's even more money.

Since both the cars at home are working fine, we'll probably end up buying a used car in the next few years but stopped trying to rush thing only to benefit from "roulez vert".

We probably could afford everything, but then I'd have to make other choices in my life that I don't want to do. I'm not that much into cars that I'd want to spend that much money on it.

My new Honda Civic was/is half the price ... obviously it depends on what you need from a vehicle.

As a retired old fart, it's all I needed (and it's all paid up).

Nice model! ... I bought the sedan.
As I said, it's all I need ... as long as I can fit groceries in the trunk then I'm happy.
