It is. They're not keeping Rangers fans out of the building. Hell Cary has gotten the nickname:

Containment
Area for
Relocated
Yankees

There are 157,000 people born in New York that live in Mecklenburg and Wake County alone.

There are 518,000 people living in North Carolina that were born in New York.

- BINGO!

While I agree with this, as I mentioned in my earlier post, why are the teams that you listed more susceptible to scalpers than all of the other teams? There is definitely some gamesmanship going on. Two things can be true at once, Carolina (and these other teams) are trying to limit scalpers, but they also would like to limit away team fans to the extent they can.

TB had a rule for a while that away team jerseys were not allowed to be worn in the lower bowl...that has nothing to do with scalpers

Given his overall history, Lavy generally doesn't make lineup changes after a win.
I bet we see the same lineup for Game 1 that finished off the Caps. IF we lose, we might see Chytil inserted into the lineup the following game.

I saw Carolina is restricting ticket sales to their home games to anyone outside the area for this series. Anyone that has a credit card billing address outside North Carolina, South Carolina or southern Virginia won’t be accepted lol. So pathetic

Idk. Something fishy is going on because Seattle fired their guy around the same time Rod the bods offer was pulled from the table.

Canes might have a coaching controversy on their hands

- Slimtj100

Rod went on ESPN yesterday and said he wants to stay.

His agency is leaking things to the media to try and up public pressure to get him a bigger deal.

Rod ain't going to go work under Francis. Francis passed him over as Head Coach twice and gave a contract extension to Bill Peters AFTER Rod went to him to report Peters' abusive behavior.

Only time I was at a game in Carolina, this was not an issue!!
Saw them play in Greensboro back when they were still building the stadium in Raleigh. I'd wager there weren't more than 700-800 people there that night. We moved from our $15 seats after puck drop and sat in the VIP section, with our own waitress!

...and, once it became known we were from Canada, spent the rest of the game explaining the rules to everyone around us!

Right, and Tampa immediately had to apologize for it and admit they were wrong.

But how many of those ticket scalping operations do you think are based in the Carolinas or Virginia? Probably substantially fewer than are located in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc.

Greensboro was such a (frank)ing disaster. They nearly killed the mascot on opening night.

Plan was for the Zamboni to open up at center ice and reveal the mascot, complete with a guy doing pig calls (a big part of why the team was able to get the arena in Raleigh built was that Karmanos cut a deal with the industrial hog farming lobby). Buuut when it came time to pop out, the Zamboni lid wouldn't open, and the guy stuck inside in a pig suit passed out due to the heat and fumes.

They had to rush it off the ice and pry open the thing to get him out and get him to a hospital to make sure he didn't die.

However it ends, the quality of play is taking a GIANT step up from round one for both clubs. Gonna be intense. I love it.

Idk how Rangers beat the Canes in 2022 knowing what we know about Gallant.

Laviolette is so different. It's crazy.

I'd love to find one that isn't made by people who are fans of or actually employed by the Rangers franchise!

The 2022 Canes had:

Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis (Rookie, had just turned 20)
Niederreiter (Injured) - Trocheck - Necas
Svechnikov - Staal - Martinook
Domi - Kotkaniemi - Fast

Slavin - DeAngelo
Skjei - Pesce
Cole - Smith

Raanta (got pulled in both of the last two games)
Kochetkov

They were younger, slower, and had a ton of injuries. Oh and Trocheck was (frank)ing infuriating because he couldn't really find chemistry with anyone.

I think so.

Igor had as many points in that series as TDA did and Tony was playing 23 minutes per night for (frank)s sake

I was just going to say "this is something there is no way GG would ever do" but then I remember he did beat the Canes in 2022.

Love that Lavy is doing this though, he does seem to always be prepared. Luckily they gave themselves plenty of time to do so. Definitely need to be ready for not only man on man, but also the ultra-aggressive penalty killing
