That heals exactly on the first day pf the playoffs and not the 82nd game
- Fredo

More rest is always better than less when coming back from an injury. Don't want to rush back for the last 5 games, get hurt, then go on pretend not retirement

This is slightly different. If you're going to say a player is faking something it's a bad back or sore knee. Not a ruptured spleen
- mr.peanut

Sure, but then if it takes 5 weeks, 10 weeks, 15 weeks to heal is up to the doctor.

Yes, you can aggravate an injury by playing injured.

It's very different from making up injuries 3 years in a row at the TDL and coming back exactly on the first day of the playoffs.

- Fredo

You may not like how LITR / Cap space is being used - that is your prerogative. I think most people have an issue but no realistic solution to fixing the problem.

(And no, cap in playoffs does not address the issue properly, just punishes teams for having injuries).

But I will dispute 100% that these are fake / made up injuries.

It's most probably not made up, the date of the comeback is 100% rigged.

the injuries aren't fake, it's the recovery time that is being synched up with the start of the playoffs.

I don't think they are fake or made up just that I am sure if they WERE able to return early that maybe they might be convinced to recuperate for a few more days, just to be safe. No reason to risk injury in game 80, if it happens in game 1 or 2 of POs then that's a risk to take which I'm sure any player would take.

Stone comes back his cap hit hurts the VGK

Price officially retires his cap hit hurts the habs.

While the intents are different, both teams use LTIR to hide money and use it elsewhere.

this never advantaged the habs in the post-season in any way.

you probably don't even agree 100% with your own posts, you just enjoy being a d!ck.

Price comes back he can't climb stairs anymore.

Stone comes back, he gets the most TOI of his team and keeps playing for many more years.

Besides, the yotahs have been doing this for years to get to the cap floor, which is worse because they don't actually want to pay players

Montreal makes the playoffs, will they be $10.5 million under the cap?

Is it?

I have no money on this, so I really DGAF.

Who is to say he is even 100% now? What if he came back at 80% simply because it was the playoffs, but would never risk it in a meaningless game(s) at the end of the season? Or are you suggesting he faked 20 or 40 games of injuries? Seems unlikely given the severity of the injury and the established timelines to come back for a normal person, let alone someone playing a physical sport.

Is Stone's Undertaker sudden appearance a complete fake out to circumvent the cap? Doubt it, seem it could be medically verified.

Was there an advantage to Vegas to keeping him out longer? Yes - cap wise and player health wise. absolutely (on both counts).

This whole discussion (again) is pointless given that Vegas is within the rules.

I'm done with this stupid conversation....
