new blog, it's a PWHL blog, but it's worth reading even if only for Dubois' dig at the Canadiens and the Rocket lol: https://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=125094

NYR-WAS is technically one of them.

I say technically because if Ovechkin taps into his former self he can win games with his play alone, but the odds are pretty stacked now against the caps lol.

- Pat1993

let see how he reacts to his coach throwing him under the bus last night !

The play before the Bruins 2nd goal. Where both Marchand and Bertuzzi hooked, dived, pushed, held the stick, etc. on each other while the refs did nothing was insanely stupid.

Could have given both guys 3 penalties each but noooo "let them play".

- Scabeh

seems so easy to just throw them BOTH in the box no ?

Not sure I want to be around that age, seen what old is like on the body/mind and that is not my game.

But yes, a legend and a good life that brought a lot of joy to hockey fans, and just as importantly, a lof of grief to Leaf fans.

Agree / Disagree on the above?

I would ike to trade for Zegras, as we lack pure talent, especially up front

but kinda like for harris + MTL first of this year ?

you can get a Barron or a 2nd too , lol

Depending on who's still available when the Habs pick, there's a chance I'd be open to trading our pick vs Zegras.

Zegras is an incredibly skilled player. He'd be joining his buddy Cole Caufield on a team that's very well handled by St-Louis's leadership.

I think Zegras would look amazing on our team.

has Zegras' reputation of being lazy always been a thing, or did that start with the Ducks? because if it's the latter, playing on a team like Anaheim could explain a lot of things, it probably isn't all that motivational right now loll...

It's not even a reputation of being lazy.

Ducks didn't offer him a big long term contract because they had doubts about his future as a centre, mostly based on how he was performing defensively.

Then everyone starting spinning that story, calling him lazy, having a bad attitude, not being easy to deal with.

All that about a guy who had just turned 21, after two 60+ points season on a bad team.

FFS Alex Kovalev wasn't a defense specialist and we all (frank)ing LOVED him.

yeah, it's kind of hard to evaluate a player's habits on a really bad team imho, his stats could indicate he sucks defensively but that's just because everyone around him is awful lol.

while I mostly agree on your Kovalev take, I always wished he had a little something more physically and on the defensive side to go along with his insane offensive skills, then he would've been a "complete player"...

Finally! Something positive about the kid! He always seemed so likable to me. Nice to hear quality comments coming from someone who was helping develop him.
