The Toronto Maple Leafs may have been hoping Zach Parise would consider their club in free agency this summer. But perhaps that's false hope.

Parise told friends (according to the Toronto Sun's Steve Simmons) that he wouldn't consider the Leafs in free agency this summer. This might mean, if the Leafs want to add an elite forward, they'll have to trade for one -- Rick Nash, maybe.

Simmons also writes that Devils GM Lou Lamoriello thinks Parise is going to stay. The GM said, "He's a Devil. He%u2019s not going anywhere." If he's saying this because of the encouraging talks he's had with Parise's party, then perhaps Parise is staying

sorry toronto

Just get rid of the point system altogether. Wins/loss system like they do in baseball and the other pro sports

This was never a problem until they adopted overtime and shoot outs. Either accept tie games or play until the game is over.

Aren't the revised standing almost an exact copy of the actual standings? Only one team in each conference moves into/out of the playoffs.

Nope that system doesnt work at all. Should be 2 points win in reg. 2 points win in ot. 1 point win in a shootout. No points for a loss.
