Good Monday peeps and welcome to another round of “Who Am I?…, where you put your hockey knowledge on display!
The game is simple: I give you five clues, you give me the individual and why the clues fit them. So as to throw some variety and up the challenge level, however, you’ll find that the person of interest, while they may be a player on occasion, are not exclusively. Rather, our mystery people are best described as “individuals associated with the game of hockey…, sometimes very obviously, sometimes by a shoestring!
That being said, only on the rare occasion have I managed to stump anyone, so these little exercises are far from impossible to solve. What I do ask though is that any answer, whether it be by email or posted in the comments, be accompanied by an explanation of how the individual fits the clues. This is a learning experience after all…
So without further ado, “Who Am I…?… #40:
1) I am the only individual at/in this position to have won five different national and/or international championships.
2) I played in Europe prior to my career in the NHL.
3) I played under a Hall of Fame coach.
4) I was associated with an AHL team and its parent NHL club.
5) I've been to the Stanley Cup finals with two different teams.
