Well, you’ve gone and done it again…
I really thought the last one would be tougher than the one preceeding it, but a mere 90 minutes is all homiedclown needed to figure this out:
1) I was a 7th round draft pick.
(132nd overall by the LA Kings in 1982)
2) I did not play hockey for the year leading up to being drafted. Some might say the reason was "of convenience" to my career...
(In 1980 he married an American graduate student from Yale who was studying in Russia after after a whirlwind month-long relationship. Her study visa expired very shortly after the wedding, beginning what became a two year legal/diplomatic process...)
3) I am remembered for two NHL landmarks.
(First player trained in the USSR to play, and score a goal, in the NHL)
4) Following my playing career I worked alongside a family member in his business which saw me facilitating the arrival of a future hall of fame player into the NHL.
(Working with his player agent cousin Sergei Levin, Nechayev was reportedly instrumental in Bringing Pavel Bure to North America to begin his NHL career)
5) Despite the significance of my playing in the NHL, my time in the league was very short, spanning only a single-digit number of games.
(Three games in the 82-83 season)
“Who Am I…? I’m……. Victor Nechayev!!!
So much for trying to put together a tough one! As many games as homie don’t play, homie plays this one quite well!!! For your great achievement in the field of achieving, here’s your prize:

At any rate, taking a different approach this week to see how you guys do. Standard rules still apply: post your answer in the comments and support why the player fits the clues. Here are the nuggets ‘o’ info for this week:
1) I scored in my first NHL game.
2) I achieved a NHL playoff first.
3) I played for three NHL teams.
4) My name is on the Cup.
5) I am a hall of fame member.
Good luck amigos, and thanks for coming by!
