'Hawks won't be hurt on Hoss/DK contracts. Once the dust settled, there could be rollbacks or special condition buyouts/restructuring.

The cap will only be reset if anything is even done. They're not going to completely rebuild from the ground up. JMO.

Keith deal too little money to cause a problem IMO. They aren't just going to bonk existing contracts that's silly. Limiting them in the future? Possibly. Allowing a percentage buy out for existing ones? Possibly. Don't see those as becoming magically invalid though.

JJ, eye opening blog. Well done. Even though it might seem obvious, what is the reason for all these plugs to turn down the Hawks? Winnik? Torrey F**king Mitchell? These guys should be happy to get offered contracts and they turn down the hawks? This is officially rock bottom.

Funny story: Had the kids in the city the other day and we were taking a cab. One of the kids asked why there was a plastic screen between the backseat and the driver. Driver saw our Hawks shirt, winked at me and said, "It's a called a Kane screen. It's to protect the cab drivers in Chicago."

It was hilarious. The problem was that I had to explain why it was so funny to my kid, who loves 88.

Maybe that was the problem with a Kane trade--anywhere. Too expensive for cab refitting!
