Better question, can the Sharks afford to keep choking year after year?

Ah yes...There's one in every crowd....

Yeah. I only started following the Leafs in 2006 thanks to my wife (I'm from the UK), but in that time I've learned enough to hold my own in discussions, especially when to open my ears and close my mouth....

12 seasons, and only 5 post seasons.. One of which he was surplanted as the starter

I am not saying luongo isn't good... Cause he is.. But he has a poor resume when it comes to carrying a middle of the road team to the post season.. The leafs aren't at the point where he's really going to do much good

A legit top line centre would change my opinion however.. I'll admit that

Florida was terrible. The Leafs aren't. He didn't have that kind of D in Sunrise.

He stood on his head in Florida so many times. If Florida had just a quarter of the talent we have then, they would have made the playoffs every year.

I'm more willing to Fail for MacKinnon than I ever was willing to Fail for Nail

This isn't Crosby y'know. He may be from the same town and put up nice numbers, but nobody has even said he's generational talent yet. He may have a terrible year and fall into our lap. The pursuit in the NHL is to become a better team by making good trades, drafting well at your draft position, and having good coaching staff...it is not about the tank for 3-4 years and draft all the best talent (I'm looking at you Edmonton). I still think that a team should be ineligible to have the first overall in consecutive years...in fact I believe that every draft lottery should be equal chance to get first overall for all teams...then you don't get teams tanking for no reason and they actually try.

source: could also be considering not moving him at all. ***** straight up told me they are considering meeting in attempt to mend fences. re-selling him on the program.

Why wouldn't they consider keeping him? Based on his 6 or whatever number team limit he has given, Nash is effectively saying that he feels it is better for him to stay in Columbus than to go to any team not on his list. I'd have to think it's entirely possible they can keep him if he won't open it up to more teams.

I like this current team very much. With the addition of JVR, I really feel this is the best forward group we've had post-lockout. Our defense is as good as any other team in the east.

Reimer isn't a star. But I'm confident he'll get us 25-30 wins. Scrivens or a vet will play 20-25 games.

Im kind of surprised how much support Reimer is still getting, hope he brings it next year but im not convinced he will
